Welcome to Combe Pafford School.

It is a privilege to welcome you to Combe Pafford School. I am delighted to introduce myself as the Interim Headteacher, and I feel very proud to lead our school at this important time in its development.

Combe Pafford is now an ASC-specialist school for pupils aged 8–18 (Year 4–13). Pupils joining the school have an identified diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Following our redesignation in 2026, we are continuing to develop our specialist provision, ensuring that our curriculum, environment and support reflect the needs of autistic young people. We remain committed to ensuring that every pupil receives the individualised support and opportunities they need to thrive.

Combe Pafford is a unique and special place. Our young people are at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to creating an environment where every pupil feels safe, valued, understood and able to achieve. We believe passionately that every young person has the potential to develop their strengths, discover their interests and build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for their future.

Our curriculum is tailored to each individual child. Alongside academic learning and qualifications, we place a strong emphasis on personal and social development and preparation for adulthood. Our vocational and work-related learning opportunities help pupils to develop the practical skills, confidence and experience they need to take their next steps into employment, further education and independent adult life.

We are fortunate to have a highly committed and experienced staff team and to be supported by trustees who share our ambition for every young person. Together, we continually reflect on our practice, draw on research and work closely with families and our wider community to ensure that our pupils receive the very best possible education.
