Catering Manager

Salary: NJC Grade F 12 -17 £26,421 - £28,770FTE actual starting salary: £25,198

Join our Team as a Catering Manager!

Are you passionate about providing high-quality catering services and keen to make a positive impact on the lives of young people? Combe Pafford School is looking for a dedicated and experienced Catering Manager to lead our catering operations.

As our Catering Manager, you will oversee all aspects of catering in the school, including the Yellow Frog Cafe and the school kitchen. You will have direct leadership and development of one of these kitchens and be responsible for financial oversight, marketing, extending our external catering opportunities, and increasing revenue for the school.

Assistant Catering Manager

Salary: NJC Grade D 5 - 6 £23,500 - £23,893FTE actual starting salary: £16,389

Start Date: 4th November 2024

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 2.30pm term time + an additional 1 week

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Catering Manager in providing high-quality catering services.
  • Lead one key area of our school catering kitchens – either the school kitchen that serves meals for the children or our Yellow Frog Cafe.
  • For the Yellow Frog Cafe, focus on generating income and profit while maintaining high standards.
  • Plan varied and nutritious menus in advance.
  • Supervise and deploy catering staff to ensure efficiency and high-quality food provision.
  • Ensure compliance with school catering standards legislation and the school’s food safety policy.

PA to the Head and Office Manager

Salary: NJC Grade G18-23  £29,269 - £32,076FTE Actual starting salary £22,964

Start Date: as soon as possible

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.45am - 4pm term time + an additional 1 week

The PA to the Head plays a crucial role in supporting the Head’s daily activities, managing schedules, and facilitating communication. This role includes administrative tasks, organising meetings, and handling correspondence both for the School and the Board of Governors, ensuring governance procedures are followed correctly at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Head’s diary and schedule appointments.
  • Organise meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
  • Handle correspondence, both incoming and outgoing.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Liaise with staff, parents, and external stakeholders on behalf of the Head.
  • Complete Personnel related tasks as directed by the Head
  • Act as Clerk to Governors
  • Manage the Admin Team under the direction of the School Business Manager

Both roles are integral to the smooth running of the school and require individuals who are highly organised, communicative, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
