Application Procedure
Our current capacity in the Sixth Form is 60 full-time students, although due to the staggered nature of the work placement days, they are rarely in at the same time. We welcome applications from Year 11 students here at Combe Pafford School and elsewhere. Applications will become available during the Spring term. The primary area of need on the students EHC Plan should be Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) although some students may also have Autism, Physical Difficulties or other areas of need. All applicants must adhere to the following :
- Complete an application form
- Attend for interview
- Successfully complete a 3-day trial
- Take part in any planned induction activities
- Adhere to the Sixth Form Code of Conduct
Students who are successful are offered a place for one year initially on one of the following - our Ready for Work Pathway, our Developing Independence for Work Pathway, or our Developing Aspirations for Life Pathway. Students may stay in the Sixth Form for up to three years depending on need, their rate of progress and their level of engagement. Student progress is monitored and reviewed each year at the students’ Annual Review, to which all relevant parties are invited.
