Additional Funding

Funding

The Department for Education allocated a Pupil Premium Grant of £131,445 for the period September 2023 to August 2024 and also Recovery Premium funding of £108,706.

Schools are allocated the Pupil Premium grant based upon the number of pupils in any of the previous six years known to be either eligible for free school meals. The Recovery premium funding is part of the government’s package of funding to support pupils whose  education has been impacted by COVID 19 and is based on the number of pupils on our school roll, the school can spend where they think the need is greatest.

Schools are able to spend the pupil premium as they wish; there is no expectation that an amount will be spent on any individual child.  As such, all children may well benefit from this grant. The Recovery Premium grant is to be spent

PE funding is also issued to all primary schools, who must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE, sport and physical activity.

Please see documents below for further details on how we utilised our 22/23 allocation and how we propose to spend the 23/24 funding we will receive throughout this year.
