  • Year 8 visit to Escot

    A Day in the life of an Anglo-Saxon 8B 8N and 8P

    Pupils in 8B, 8N and 8P recently went to visit the living histories

    Saxon village at Wildwood Escot in Ottery St Mary.

    We had a fantastic day learning about how the Saxons lived; how they made and foraged food, how they made tools and toys and exploring what their houses and shelters were like. We made bread in the cob oven and a clothes pin in the forge.   • Thriving Through Music at Combe Pafford School, Live Music Now

    Combe Pafford, like many schools, uses the Thrive programme to support children’s social and emotional development and mental health. Through this project, we aim to explore how music can be integrated into the Thrive programme, and to support Thrive practitioners to make more use of music in their work. Throughout the Spring term, Elly and Stuart will work with three classes at Combe Pafford, mainly through online workshops, in a project which will culminate in May with two days of performances and recordings celebrating the young people’s achievements.
