Required for Oct 2017 or Jan 2018, an outstanding classroom practitioner for a class of year 7/8 pupils who have significant needs on the ASC spectrum.
This would be an ideal opportunity for a teacher early in their career who wishes to develop their knowledge and skills in an SEN setting. The successful applicant will be well supported by both experienced staff and Leadership team within the school.

You would be expected to have excellent, up-to-date knowledge and experience of the primary teaching and learning both in terms of planning, lesson delivery and assessment. It would be an advantage to have previous experience of SEN/ASC but this is not essential, support and training will be provided, it is more important that you have the ability to work as part of a teaching team of highly motivated practitioners across school and have a willingness to support the needs of all children at CPS

The post requires someone who is an inspirational, reflective and creative teacher with a passion to improve the life chances of our pupils and make every child feel ‘special’, with excellent classroom management and organisation skills.

You will need to:

Have excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude and be committed to sharing good practice

Be able to competently & positively manage pupil behaviour

Show initiative and creativity in your approach to teaching & learning

Be organised and efficient and demonstrate the ability to improve outcomes for children

Be thoroughly committed to safety and well-being for all our pupils

Demonstrate the aptitude to work as part of a successful team liaising with parents, governors and external professionals

Exhibit a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school

Required for Oct 2017 or Jan 2018, a motor vehicle tutor who has recent and relevant experience to be able to instruct students in motor vehicle studies.

We have outstanding motor vehicle facilities on-site and offer courses to our own pupils and those from other schools which lead to Entry Level, Level 1 and sometimes Level 2 courses.

You will need to:

Provide teaching, learning and assessment in both the classroom and the garage

Prepare schemes of work, lesson and assessment plans

Provide on-going feedback to students by setting and marking work both relevant and appropriate to the course

Manage and maintain the garage and equipment and use the budget allocated purposefully.

Be a good role model and encourage and foster good behaviour and a will to work.

We are looking to recruit two LSA’s to support across a range of groups and individual children in mainstream classes or in one of our Autistic Base classes. Experience of working in KS2 is desirable but not essential. Applicants must have achieved at least a C grade in GCSE English and maths or equivalent and be able to provide evidence of this.

Vacancy one is for a general class LSA , 30.4 hours (39 weeks) Grade C

Vacancy two is for an LSA to work in our autistic base, 30.4 hours (39 weeks) Grade D

Vacancy 1 is JE GRADE C £15,613 - £16,491 FTE starting salary £10,981 pro rata

Vacancy 2 is JE GRADE D £16,781 - £17,772 FTE starting salary £11,806 pro rata
