Safeguarding Children

Designated Safeguarding Lead - Mr Matt Davey

Combe Pafford School fully recognises the responsibility it has under Section 175 of the Education Act 2002 to have arrangements in place to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.  Through their day to day contact with pupils and direct work with families, staff at the school have a crucial role to play in noticing indicators of possible abuse or neglect and referring them to the appropriate agency.

We have a Designated Safeguarding Lead who is responsible for making decisions regarding child protection issues.

We will always follow best practise and when necessary, seek advice from the Safeguarding Hub (Torbay Council).  All staff receive child protection training every 3 years and are aware of their responsibilities to safeguard the pupils of Combe Pafford School.

The Child Protection and Safeguarding Children policy is available for anyone to access if required.
