Panto 2016

On Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th a group of children from years 9,10 and 11 performed a Christmas themed show to the rest of the school.  Alice in Winterland is a story about a girl who wakes up on Christmas Eve and finds herself befriending snowmen, penguins and dancing snowflakes, who help her escape the clutches of the evil Snow Queen.

The performances were hailed a success by all those who saw them, filling the school hall with the joy of music, laughter and two hundred arm and leg flapping adults and children.

India Dowel excelled as Alice, a huge accomplishment given the amount of dialogue she had to remember.  She was ably supported by outstanding performances from Robbie Daley and Mikey Simmons playing the snowmen Frosty and Freezy and Jack Baldwin as Vanilla, the rapping penguin. As a year 11 pupil Mikey will not be eligible for Panto duty next year, we will all miss his tremendous enthusiasm, dramatic expression and dedication.  He was an inspiration to all of us throughout rehearsals and performances…… a true star.

Mrs Wallace and Mr Stevens would like to take this opportunity to thank the other cast members:  Amelia Savage, Abbie Shermer, Conner Johnson, Azrah Bradford Jones, Skye Adams, Sky Beadle, Ffion Shore, Summer Harris, Sarah Ross, Shannon Gendall, Ryan Lewis-Thomas, Sam Tagapulot, Lyta Kerr, Keone Gallacher, Jessy Motteram, Richard Cousins, Robert Macmillan, Ellie Rundle-Smith, Jasmine Coward, Oliver Hill, Aleisha Murphy, not forgetting all the adults and children, who did such an amazing job with the scenery, costumes, ICT, stage and chairs……Well done everyone for making the 2016 Panto a resounding success!
