Year 10 visit Plymouth Aquarium

Year 10 have been completing a Crest award project  'Marine pollution consequences and preventative measures', which is the British Science Association’s flagship programme for young people. Pupils have attended a workshop and tour at Plymouth aquarium which included a gruesome task of emptying the stomach contents of a hammer head shark to investigate what and why certain 'things' were found in there. Back in the classroom, pupils have been completing group projects on either;

1. What species are affected by plastics and other litters in the different layers of the ocean

or

2. Made a model to show plastic and other litters routes to the sea. Each project involved team work, self management, communication and reflection. Well done year 10!

You will receive a CREST Discovery award certificate for your hard work!
